In a word: Sloppy.
Three games: Five errors, 15 walks, two losses.
Those are the relevant numbers. Sure, the D-backs rank 6th in RBIs, 10th in batting average, and 12th in on-base percentage in all of baseball, so we know the offense is working... but the losses are all related to sloppy play on defense (by pitchers and fielders, alike).
It often comes down to fundamentals, and the Diamondbacks need to clean up their act. 'Nuff said.
WooHoo: Eric Byrnes! He's hitting .500, has two RBIs, 1 HR, and a stolen base.
Boooooo: J.D. Durbin... ouch! That was truly painful. He deserved the Loss more than Davis. Unfortunately for him, Arizona has already designated him for assignment.
